Lt: Vieną saulėtą rytą, Gediminas nusprendė pasivaikščioti po Vilniaus senamiestį.
En: One sunny morning, Gediminas decided to take a walk through the old town of Vilnius.

Lt: Jis buvo kupinas senųjų legendų ir istorijų.
En: He was full of old legends and stories.

Lt: Gediminas vaikštinėjo priešais mūrinės bažnyčios šventorių, kai išvydo kažką neįprasto.
En: Gediminas walked in front of the stone church sanctuary when he saw something unusual.

Lt: Prie jaukaus nedidelio namelio stovėjo šuo, toks nejudrus ir susimąstęs, kad atrodė tarsi skulptūra.
En: By the cozy little house stood a dog, so still and pensive that it seemed like a sculpture.

Lt: Gediminas priėjo artyn ir pradėjo šnekintis su šunimi: "Sveikas, akmeninei senovės gyvūne! Kiek tu čia laiko prabuvai, kol tavęs čia įamžino?"
En: Gediminas approached and started to talk to the dog: "Hello, stone age creature! How long have you been standing here before they immortalized you?"

Lt: Jonas, einantis pro šalį, išvydo šį vaizdą ir negalėjo susilaikyti nuo juoko.
En: Jonas, passing by, saw this scene and couldn't help but laugh.

Lt: Rasa, šuns savininkė, buvo viduje parduotuvėje ir neišgirdo Gedimino žodžių.
En: Rasa, the dog's owner, was inside the store and didn't hear Gediminas' words.

Lt: Kai ji grįžo, pamatė Joną juokiantį ir Gediminą kalbantį su šunimi.
En: When she returned, she saw Jonas laughing and Gediminas talking to the dog.

Lt: "O ką čia veiki?" - su šypsena paklausė ji Gedimino.
En: "What are you doing here?" she asked with a smile.

Lt: Gediminas papasakojo apie savo samprotavimus, o Rasa linksmai nusijuokė.
En: Gediminas explained his musings, and Rasa laughed cheerfully.

Lt: "Tai mano mėgstamiausias augintinis, ne skulptūra," - pasakė Rasa, patraukdama šunį už pavadėlio.
En: "This is my favorite pet, not a sculpture," said Rasa, pulling the dog by the leash.

Lt: Nuo tos dienos, Gediminas kiekvieną kartą, eidamas pro tą namelį, pamiršęs savo klaidą, mojodavo Rasai ir jos šuniui,
En: From that day on, every time Gediminas passed by that house, he would wave to Rasa and her dog, having forgotten his mistake.

Lt: o Jonas visada juokdavosi prisiminęs Gedimino sumaištį su gyvaisiais senamiesčio „statulomis“.
En: And Jonas always laughed, remembering Gediminas' confusion with the living "statues" of the old town.

Lt: Ir taip dienos bėgo, o jų draugystė sukruto dar labiau, nes juokas yra tai, kas mus visus vienija.
En: And so the days passed, and their friendship grew even stronger, because laughter is what unites us all.

Lt: Savo klaidomis ir smulkiais nuotykiais, kiekvienas iš mūsų rašo savo istoriją čia, senamiestyje, kur kiekvienas kampelis alsuoja praeities paslaptimis.
En: With our mistakes and little adventures, each of us writes our own story here, in the old town, where every corner breathes the secrets of the past.
