We live in a time of great fear, dread of the unknown and the grim anticipation of what lies around the corner...wait, what? No, no, no, back that up, let me start again. For the born again believer in Jesus Christ, our future has been signed in blood, sealed unto the day of redemption, and is right now awaiting deliverance into the clouds where the Lord will soon call us. "It is I", Jesus says to us, "be not afraid." Amen, that's better. Today I would like to bring you a message of hope, a sure hope, and one that can only be found in Jesus of Nazareth, the Jewish Messiah. The apostle Peter watched in utter amazement, as did all the apostles, when Jesus walked on the water to show he had power over everything. Peter was the only one with the guts to ask Jesus to let him try it, and guess what? Jesus answered his request and bid him come. Peter was doing just fine walking on the water, right up to the moment he took his eyes off of Jesus and onto the boisterous wind and waves. It was at that moment Peter began to sink, and needed a fresh touch from the Master to pull him up to safety. This morning, I want to bring you a fresh touch from the Master of the wind and waves, Jesus Christ, and let it pull you up from whatever is troubling you this morning.
