Story Transcript:

Af: Op 'n warm en sonskyn dag in die Karoo Nasionale Park, was daar 'n jong man met die naam Pieter.
En: On a warm and sunny day in the Karoo National Park, there was a young man named Pieter.

Af: Pieter het by 'n klein kioskie gewerk wat verfrissende ysies aan toeriste verkoop het.
En: Pieter worked at a small kiosk selling refreshing ice creams to tourists.

Af: Hy was baie trots op sy werk en het altyd 'n glimlag op sy gesig gehad wanneer hy praat oor die verskillende geure van roomys wat hy verkoop.
En: He was very proud of his work and always had a smile on his face when talking about the different flavors of ice cream he sold.

Af: Naby die kioskie was 'n wandelpad wat deur die pragtige landskap van die Karoo geloop het en dit was Pieter se taak om aan toeriste rigtingaanwysings te gee.

En: Pieter stopped and gazed at the ostriches.

En: They looked long-legged and stately, with their heads held high in the air.

Af: Vir 'n oomblik het Pieter vergeet van Johan se grappie en het sommer begin praat: "Goeiedag, ek hoop julle geniet julle wandeling!
En: For a moment, Pieter forgot about Johan's joke and started talking, "Good day, I hope you enjoy your walk!

En: The nearest ice cream shop is just around the corner, and there are delightful flavors waiting for you!"

En: "Well," he said, "it looks like I might be the first person to try to sell an ostrich an ice cream!"
