Story Transcript:

Sl: Matej je sedel na klopci ob Blejskem jezeru.
En: Matej sat on a bench by Lake Bled.

Sl: Jesenski listi so padali z dreves, okoli njega so bila rdeča in oranžna.
En: Autumn leaves were falling from the trees, red and orange surrounding him.

Sl: Voda v jezeru je bila mirna; odsevala je grad na pečini.
En: The water in the lake was calm; it reflected the castle on the cliff.

Sl: Matej je vzdihnil.
En: Matej sighed.

Sl: "Kako lepo," je pomislil.
En: "How beautiful," he thought.

Sl: Zadnje tedne je preživel doma, okreval po operaciji kolena.
En: He had spent the last few weeks at home, recovering from knee surgery.

Sl: Komaj je čakal, da spet začuti gozdno stezo pod svojimi čevlji.
En: He could hardly wait to feel the forest path under his shoes again.

Sl: Neža se mu je pridružila na klopi.
En: Neža joined him on the bench.

Sl: Prinesla je termovko toplega čaja.
En: She brought a thermos of warm tea.

Sl: "Matej, res bi moral še malo počakati," je tiho rekla, medtem ko je gledala proti bližnjemu hribu.
En: "Matej, you really should wait a bit longer," she said quietly, looking toward the nearby hill.

Sl: Matej ji je odgovoril z nasmehom.
En: Matej replied with a smile.

Sl: "Vem, ampak danes je pravi dan za pohod.
En: "I know, but today is the perfect day for a hike.

Sl: Samo do vrha, da vidim listje z vrha."
En: Just to the top, to see the leaves from above."

Sl: Neža je začutila skrb v sebi.
En: Neža felt a sense of worry inside her.

Sl: Vedela je, da je Matej vedno rad premikal meje, a obenem je bilo jasno, da koleno še ni povsem zaceljeno.
En: She knew Matej always liked to push the limits, but it was clear that his knee wasn't fully healed yet.

Sl: "Samo obljubi, da boš previden," je rekla in stisnila njegovo roko.
En: "Just promise you'll be careful," she said, squeezing his hand.

Sl: "Obljubim," je rekel Matej.
En: "I promise," Matej said.

Sl: Vstala sta in začela hoditi proti hribu.
En: They got up and started walking toward the hill.

Sl: Matej je hodil s previdnostjo, a odločnim korakom.
En: Matej walked carefully, but with determined steps.

Sl: Ko sta začela vzpon na hrib, je Matej občutil blago bolečino v kolenu.
En: As they started the ascent, Matej felt mild pain in his knee.

Sl: Ignoriral jo je.
En: He ignored it.

Sl: "Nisem prišel tako daleč, da bi zdaj odnehal," je pomislil.
En: "I didn't come this far to give up now," he thought.

Sl: Neža je hodila ob njem, opazovala ga je z bolj zaskrbljenim obrazom.
En: Neža walked beside him, watching him with a more concerned expression.

Sl: Nad polovico poti je postalo bolj strmo.
En: About halfway up, it became steeper.

Sl: Matej je začutil, da njegovo koleno postaja šibkejše.
En: Matej felt his knee growing weaker.

Sl: Poskušal je nadaljevati, toda ko je naredil korak na posebej strmo skalo, je koleno klecnilo in izgubil je ravnotežje.
En: He tried to continue, but when he stepped on a particularly steep rock, his knee buckled and he lost balance.

Sl: Neža ga je hitro ujela.
En: Neža caught him quickly.

Sl: "Matej!" je vzkliknila, njen glas je bil poln skrbi.
En: "Matej!" she exclaimed, her voice full of concern.

Sl: Matej je sedel na rob poti.
En: Matej sat down at the edge of the path.

En: He felt disappointed.

Sl: "Morda nisi še pripravljen," je rekel sam sebi tiho.
En: "Maybe you're not ready yet," he told himself quietly.

Sl: Neža je sedla poleg njega.
En: Neža sat next to him.

Sl: "To ni poraz, Matej.
En: "This isn't a failure, Matej.

Sl: Dokazal si že veliko s tem, da si prišel tako daleč."
En: You've already proven a lot by making it this far."

Sl: Naslonil se je nazaj in pogledal skozi deževne krošnje.
En: He leaned back and gazed through the rain-touched leaves.

Sl: Pomiril se je.
En: He found peace.

Sl: "Res, Neža.
En: "You're right, Neža.

Sl: Moram biti potrpežljiv.
En: I must be patient.

Sl: Hvala, ker si ob meni."
En: Thank you for being with me."

Sl: Tiste besede so prinesle novo zavedanje.
En: Those words brought a new understanding.

Sl: Pomembna je bila pot, ne samo cilj.
En: The journey was important, not just the destination.

Sl: Skupaj sta se vrnila po poti nazaj proti jezeru.
En: Together, they headed back down the path toward the lake.

Sl: Matej je počasi stopal, a z zavedanjem, da je vsako stopalo del okrevanja.
En: Matej walked slowly, but with awareness that every step was part of the recovery.

Sl: Na klopci ob jezeru sta si segla v roke.
En: On the bench by the lake, they held hands.

Sl: Pogled se jima je ustavil na očarljivih barvah jeseni, ki so jih obkrožale.
En: Their gaze lingered on the enchanting autumn colors surrounding them.

Sl: Matej je vedel, da bo ponovno bil na hribu, vendar šele, ko bo pravi čas.
En: Matej knew he would be on the hill again, but only when the time was right.

Sl: In tako sta mirno počakala na prihajajoče dni, pripravljena sprejeti vsak nov izziv z malce več potrpljenja in veliko več hvaležnosti.
