Story Transcript:

En: Illuminated by the evening vespers, Piazza Navona, in the center of Rome, spread a kind of magic.

En: Here, between the mystical Fountain of the Four Rivers and the ancient obelisk, the three friends found themselves: Giovanni, Sofia, and Marco.

En: Giovanni and Sofia were sitting on a bench.

It: Marco, invece, saltellava qua e là, acquisendo tre meravigliosi gelati dai venditori ambulanti.
En: Meanwhile, Marco hopped around, acquiring three wonderful ice creams from the street vendors.

It: "Uno per te, uno per Sofia e uno per me!
En: "One for you, one for Sofia, and one for me!"

It: " dichiarò Marco, consegnando i coni gelati ai suoi amici.
En: Marco declared, handing the ice cream cones to his friends.

En: Giovanni and Sofia wanted to talk about something serious, but the pigeons had other ideas.

En: Watching the ice creams with greedy eyes, a flock of pigeons acted as if they were invincible.

It: Senza paura, attaccarono i tre amici, causando il caos.
En: Fearlessly, they attacked the three friends, causing chaos.

It: Sotto l'attacco dei piccioni, Sofia perse il gelato.
En: Under the attack of the pigeons, Sofia lost her ice cream.

It: "No, il mio gelato!
En: "No, my ice cream!"

It: " esclamò.
En: she exclaimed.

En: Giovanni, too, was hit, losing his ice cream due to the onslaught of the small creatures.

En: The pigeons, celebrating their victory, enjoyed the lost delicacies.

En: Amidst all the commotion, laughter, and exclamations, the serious conversation that Giovanni and Sofia had planned went off track.

En: However, there was still hope, Marco still had his ice cream.

It: Dopo aver riso a crepapelle dell'humor involontario offerto dai loro aggressori alati, Giovanni e Sofia si riuscirono finalmente a calmare.
En: After laughing heartily at the unintentional humor offered by their winged aggressors, Giovanni and Sofia finally managed to calm down.

En: They withdrew their attention from the pigeons and turned their gaze to Marco, hoping for his words.

En: "Hey," Marco said, "we shouldn't let these pigeons ruin our discussion.

It: Abbiamo delle cose serie da discutere, ricordate?
En: We have serious things to talk about, remember?

It: Parliamo mentre io faccio da esca!
En: Let's talk while I act as bait!"

En: And so, preserving his ice cream, Marco deliberately became the target of the pigeons, allowing Giovanni and Sofia to continue their conversation.

En: As Piazza Navona continued buzzing with life, the daylight slowly faded, and Marco's bright laughter filled the air as the pigeons danced around him.

En: Giovanni and Sofia finally finished their conversation and, slightly amused but resolved, they got up from the bench, ready to continue their journey through the magical streets of Rome.

En: The pigeons, now satisfied with Marco's ice cream, wandered off in search of new adventures.

En: And Marco, with a smile on his face, joined his friends, promising to buy a new ice cream for everyone.

En: Friendship had prevailed, despite the attacks of the pigeons and the lost ice creams, proving that nothing can interrupt a conversation between friends.
