Story Transcript:
Hr: Jednoga sunčanog dana, Ivan se našao u centru Zagreba, zaglavljen u prometnoj gužvi.
En: On a sunny day, Ivan found himself in the center of Zagreb, stuck in a traffic jam.
En: The sun shone high above the city, and people hurried about their business.
En: Ivan, who was sitting in his small red car, felt a bit lonely.
Hr: Oko njega, automobili su bili poput mjehurića u oceanu buke i ispušnih plinova.
En: Around him, cars were like bubbles in an ocean of noise and exhaust fumes.
En: Ivan observed the world around him, when he noticed an old white "beetle" stopping next to him, driven by a woman with dark sunglasses.
Hr: Srce mu je zakucalo.
En: His heart raced.
En: He was almost certain - it had to be Marta, his long-lost friend.
En: They had grown up together in a small village near Zagreb, but life had taken them in different directions.
En: Ivan felt nostalgic and was eager to meet Marta again.
En: He leaned towards the window and called out, "Marta!
Hr: Marta, jesi li to ti?
En: Marta, is that you?"
Hr: " Žena u autu pored okrenula je glavu iznenađeno.
En: The woman in the car next to him turned her head in surprise.
Hr: "Oprostite?
En: I'm Ana, not Marta," the stranger replied.
Hr: Ivanov osmijeh se pretvorio u blagi osjećaj razočaranja.
En: Ivan's smile turned into a mild feeling of disappointment.
Hr: Ispricao se i nasmijao sramežljivo, svojom pogreškom.
En: He apologized and laughed shyly, acknowledging his mistake.
Hr: U tom trenutku, telefon mu je zazvonio.
En: At that moment, his phone rang.
En: It was his good friend Nikola, who knew about Ivan's desire to find Marta.
En: Nikola told Ivan that he had news about Marta.
Hr: "Čovječe, pronašao sam Martu!
En: "Man, I found Marta!
Hr: Živi ovdje, u Zagrebu!
En: She lives here, in Zagreb!"
Hr: " Nikola je rekao s uzbuđenjem u glasu.
En: Nikola said with excitement in his voice.
Hr: Ivan je osjetio val uzbuđenja.
En: Ivan felt a surge of excitement.
En: It seemed like fate was on his side that day.
En: After a brief conversation with Nikola, he learned where he could find Marta.
En: He thanked Nikola, apologized to Ana once again, and as soon as the traffic started moving, he embarked on a new adventure to reunite with his old friend.
En: When he finally found Marta, the moment was filled with happiness and laughter.
En: Marta, whom he hadn't seen in years, was equally happy to see him.
En: They exchanged stories about their lives and promised to never lose sight of each other again.
En: And so, Ivan's day, which had started lonely and surreal in the traffic jam of Zagreb, turned into an unforgettable reunion with a dear friend.
En: He knew that from that day on, their friendship would be stronger than ever before.
