Ja: 紅葉が燃えるような晩秋の午後、兄弟三人は京都の清水寺に向かっていました。母の最後の願いを果たすため。
En: On an afternoon in late autumn, when the leaves were blazing like fire, three siblings were heading to Kiyomizu-dera in Kyoto to fulfill their mother's final wish.

Ja: しかし、その道のりは決して平坦ではありませんでした。
En: However, the journey was far from smooth.

Ja: 晴れていた日、三兄弟は清水寺の門前に立ちました。
En: On a clear day, the three siblings stood in front of the entrance gate of Kiyomizu-dera.

Ja: それぞれの顔には複雑な表情が浮かんでいました。
En: Each of their faces bore complex expressions.

Ja: 長男の啓樹（はるき）は責任感から沈黙していました。
