Ja: 朝日が昇ると、桜（さくら）は目を覚ました。
En: As the morning sun rose, Sakura woke up.

Ja: 「今日は初穂祭（はつほまつり）！」彼女はワクワクして起き上がりました。
En: "Today is the Hatsuhomatsuri!" She excitedly got out of bed.

Ja: 京都（きょうと）の伏見稲荷神社（ふしみいなりじんじゃ）で行われる年に一度の祭りです。
En: The festival is held once a year at Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Shrine.

Ja: 桜は白い着物（きもの）に着替えました。
En: Sakura changed into a white kimono.

Ja: 母（はは）と一緒に神社に行く道中、桜は美しい赤い鳥居（とりい）を見ました。
En: On the way to the shrine with her mother, Sakura saw the beautiful red torii gates.
