Story Transcript:

Ja: 金色の光が池に反射する。
En: Golden light reflected off the pond.

Ja: ハルトはカメラを持って、美しい写真を撮っていた。
En: Haruto, holding his camera, was taking beautiful photos.

Ja: 彼はもう何年もキンカクジに来ていなかった。
En: It had been years since he last visited Kinkaku-ji.

Ja: 「やっぱりここは特別な場所だなぁ」と思ったその瞬間、「ハルト？」という声がした。
En: At that moment, as he thought, "This place really is special," he heard a voice say, "Haruto?"

Ja: ハルトが振り返ると、そこにはアイコが立っていた。
En: When Haruto turned around, there stood Aiko.

Ja: 「アイコ？」ハルトは驚いた。
En: "Aiko?" Haruto was surprised.

Ja: 幼なじみの彼女に会うとは思ってもいなかった。
En: He never expected to meet his childhood friend there.

Ja: 「久しぶりだね！」アイコはにっこり笑った。
En: "It's been a while!" Aiko said with a bright smile.

Ja: 「元気だった？」ハルトは少し照れくさそうに聞いた。
En: "How have you been?" Haruto asked, feeling a bit shy.

Ja: 「うん、元気だったよ。ハルトは？」アイコも少し恥ずかしそうだった。
En: "I've been good. How about you?" Aiko responded, also looking a little bashful.

Ja: 二人は昔のことを思い出した。
En: They began reminiscing about their past.

Ja: 「小さい頃、よくここで遊んだよね。」アイコが言った。
En: "We used to play here a lot when we were little," Aiko said.

Ja: 「そうだね、懐かしいな。」ハルトは頷いた。
En: "Yeah, those were good times," Haruto nodded.

Ja: 「今日はどうしてここに？」アイコは尋ねた。
En: "What brings you here today?" Aiko inquired.

Ja: 「写真を撮りたくて来たんだ。」ハルトが答えた。
En: "I came to take photos," Haruto answered.

Ja: 「一緒に京都をまわらない？」アイコは提案した。
En: "Why don't we tour Kyoto together?" Aiko suggested.

Ja: 「いいね、お互いの思い出話がたくさんできそうだ。」ハルトは笑顔になった。
En: "Sounds great, we’ll have plenty of old stories to share," Haruto smiled.

Ja: 二人は一緒に京都の名所を巡った。東山の清水寺や、嵐山の竹林。
En: The two of them visited many famous spots in Kyoto together—the Kiyomizu Temple in Higashiyama, the bamboo grove in Arashiyama.

Ja: おしゃべりしながら、いろいろな場所を歩いた。
En: They walked through various places, chatting all the while.

Ja: 「アイコ、あの時見た桜、まだ覚えてる？」ハルトが聞いた。
En: "Aiko, do you still remember the cherry blossoms we saw back then?" Haruto asked.

Ja: 「もちろんよ！」アイコは笑った。
En: "Of course!" Aiko laughed.

Ja: 「あの桜は本当にきれいだったね。」二人は共通の思い出を共有しながら、お互いにたくさんのことを話した。
En: "Those cherry blossoms were truly beautiful," Sharing their common memories, they talked about many things.

Ja: 「ずっと会わなかったけど、やっぱりハルトは昔のままだね。」アイコが言った。
En: "We hadn’t seen each other for a long time, but Haruto, you haven’t changed a bit," Aiko said.

Ja: 「アイコも変わらないよ。優しいままだ。」ハルトも答えた。
En: "Neither have you, Aiko. You're still as kind as ever," Haruto replied.

Ja: 夕方になり、二人は再びキンカクジに戻った。
En: As evening approached, they returned to Kinkaku-ji.

Ja: 黄金の光が再び池に映る。
En: The golden light once again reflected off the pond.

Ja: 「今日はありがとう、ハルト。また会おうね。」アイコが言った。
En: "Thanks for today, Haruto. Let’s meet again," Aiko said.

Ja: 「ありがとう、アイコ。またね。」ハルトは手を振った。
En: "Thank you, Aiko. See you again," Haruto waved.

Ja: ハルトとアイコは別れたが、心には温かい思い出が残った。
En: Though Haruto and Aiko parted ways, they were left with warm memories in their hearts.

Ja: 再会は偶然かもしれないが、それは二人にとって大切な瞬間だった。
En: Their reunion might have been a coincidence, but it was a precious moment for both of them.
