Story Transcript:

Cy: Roedd hi’n ddiwrnod braf a heulog yn Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, pentref bach gyda enw mawr a thynged fawr ar y dydd hwn.
En: It was a beautiful and sunny day in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, a small village with a long name and great destiny on this day.

Cy: Yn yr awel cymysg o sŵn defaid a chwerthin plant, roedd Llewelyn sy'n berchen ar y dafarn leol, yr 'Yr Hufen Ddu', yn paratoi ar gyfer noson fywiog o gerddoriaeth Geltaidd.
En: In the mixed breeze of sheep sounds and children's laughter, Llewelyn, the owner of the local pub, the 'Yr Hufen Ddu', was preparing for a lively night of Celtic music.

Cy: Mewn cae cyfagos, roedd Eilir yn gwylio'i braidd yn pori’n dawel, pan sylwodd ar un dafad, a oedd yn edrych yn fwy anturus na'r lleill.
En: In a neighboring field, Eilir was watching her sheep grazing quietly when she noticed one sheep, which looked more adventurous than the others.

Cy: Y dafad hon, enwog am ei hymddygiad, a lwyddodd yn rhywsut i slipio trwy'r giât wedi'i gadael ar agor.
En: This sheep, famous for its behavior, somehow managed to slip through the open gate.

Cy: Roedd Rhys, ffermwr ifanc o gyffiniau'r pentref, yn cerdded heibio gan chwerthin wrth weld y dafad ofnadwy yn llwyddo i ddianc.
En: Rhys, a young farmer from the village, walked by and laughed as he saw the incredible sheep successfully escaping.

Cy: Felly dechreuodd hanes y dafad yn y dafarn.
En: So the sheep's story began in the pub.

Cy: Crwydrodd y dafad heb ofal i ganol y pentref a thrwy ddrysau agored yr 'Yr Hufen Ddu'.
En: The sheep wandered carelessly through the village and through the open doors of the 'Yr Hufen Ddu'.

Cy: Llewelyn, a oedd yn taflu gwydr i’r golchwr, oedd y cyntaf i sylwi ar y dafad yn sefyll yn ymyl y bwrdd pŵl gyda'i llygaid gwyllt a'i chnawd yn chwyrn.
En: Llewelyn, who was throwing glass to the dishwasher, was the first to notice the sheep standing by the pool table with its wild eyes and shaggy fur.

Cy: "Be sy'n mynd yma?
En: "What's going on here?"

Cy: " gwaeddodd Llewelyn, ond cyn iddo allu gweithredu, roedd y dafad wedi taflu ei phen i lawr ac wedi penderfynu ei bod hi'n bryd profi bar y dafarn.
En: shouted Llewelyn, but before he could act, the sheep had thrown its head down and decided it was time to test the pub's bar.

Cy: Rhedodd o gwmpas y lle, dal cerbydau gwydraid a thorri llestri, tra roedd y cwsmeriaid yn neidio o’u seddi ac yn gweiddi mewn cyffro.
En: It ran around the place, knocking over bar stools and breaking glasses, while the customers jumped out of their seats and shouted excitedly.

Cy: Cyrraeddodd Eilir y dafarn ar frys a gwelodd y llanast.
En: Eilir reached the pub in a hurry and saw the mess.

Cy: Gwyddai fod yn rhaid dod â’r sefyllfa dan reolaeth cyn gynted ag y bo modd.
En: She knew she had to take control of the situation as soon as possible.

Cy: Gyda chymorth Rhys, aeth i'r afael â'r dafad fyndog, ac ar ôl rhywfaint o frwydr a lawer o gelloedd o chwerthin, llwyddodd i ddal y dafad yn dynn.
En: With Rhys' help, she tackled the unruly sheep, and after a struggle and a lot of bursts of laughter, they managed to catch the sheep tightly.

Cy: Daeth tawelwch dros y dafarn yn sydyn.
En: A sudden calm fell over the pub.

Cy: Roedd cwsmeriaid yn syllu â syndod ac yna'n dechrau bob un, clapio o’r diwedd.
En: Customers looked on in surprise and then started clapping at last.

Cy: Roedd Llewelyn yn chwerthin gyda rhyddhad a chynigiwyd diodydd am ddim i Eilir a Rhys am eu hymdrechion arwrol.
En: Llewelyn laughed with relief and offered free drinks to Eilir and Rhys for their heroic efforts.

Cy: Dod â’r dafad yn ôl i’r cae, disgyblodd Eilir y dafad mewn ffordd garedig ond cadarn.
En: Bringing the sheep back to the field, Eilir calmed the sheep in a kind but firm manner.

Cy: Gwahoddodd Rhys tost i'r 'Yr Hufen Ddu' a threfnwyd gig cerddorol arbennig i ddathlu achub y diwrnod.
En: Rhys invited to the 'Yr Hufen Ddu' and arranged a special musical gig to celebrate the day's rescue.

Cy: O hynny ymlaen, adnabuwyd diwrnod hwnnw fel 'Diwrnod Dafad Difyr Llanfairpwllgwyngyll’.
En: From then on, that day was known as 'The Amusing Sheep Day of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll’.

Cy: O hynny ymlaen, pan roedd angen motiff ar y pentrefwyr i gofio ymddygiad arfog, byddent yn dweud, "Wel, fe allech chi fod fel y dafad yn 'Yr Hufen Ddu'!
En: From then on, when the villagers needed a motif to remember stubborn behavior, they would say, "Well, you could be like the sheep in 'Yr Hufen Ddu'!"

Cy: " ac roedd hynny'n ddigon i bawb chwerthin a cherdded ymlaen gyda gwên ar eu hwyneb.
En: and that was enough to make everyone laugh and walk on with a smile on their face.
