Story Transcript:

Cy: Roedd hi'n ddiwrnod oer a niwlog ym mhentref bychan Caerffili, lle saif castell hynafol a hardd ar ben y bryn.
En: It was a cold and misty day in the small village of Caerphilly, where stands the ancient and beautiful castle at the top of the hill.

Cy: Yng nghanol y pentref oedd tafarn glyd, lle roedd pobl arferol y pentref yn ymgynnull i dreulio'r hwyr gyda chwrw da a chwmni gwell.
En: In the middle of the village was a cozy tavern, where the ordinary people of the village would gather to spend the evening with good beer and better company.

Cy: Un prynhawn, roedd Elin, y ferch ifanc sy'n gweithio yn yr archfarchnad, Gwen, y nyrs lleol, a Rhys, y ffermwr, i gyd yn eistedd wrth y bwrdd pren agored yn sgwrsio yn hapus.
En: One afternoon, Elin, the young woman who worked in the market, Gwen, the local nurse, and Rhys, the farmer, all sat at the open wooden table happily chatting.

Cy: Roedd y lle yn llawn chwerthin a chyfeillgarwch ac roedd cara o gwrw yn llenwi'r awyr.
En: The place was full of laughter and camaraderie and the smell of beer filled the air.

Cy: Wrth i'r awr fynd rhagddi, y peth olaf y byddai unrhyw un yn ei ddisgwyl oedd i dafad wyn ac anferth i gamu drwy'r drws tafarn gyda brwdfrydedd.
En: As the hour passed, the last thing anyone would expect was for a large white sheep to prance through the tavern door with enthusiasm.

Cy: Ond dyna a wnaeth.
En: But that's exactly what happened.

Cy: Roedd y tafarnwr wedi'i synnu, ond cyn iddo allu gwneud dim, roedd y dafad wedi lleoli peint o gwrw ar y bar a’i lapio â'i genau mawr.
En: The innkeeper was surprised, but before he could do anything, the sheep had placed a pint of beer on the bar and was lapping it up with its large tongue.

Cy: Edrychodd Elin, Gwen a Rhys ar ei gilydd mewn anrhydedd cyn torri i chwerthin.
En: Elin, Gwen, and Rhys looked at each other in astonishment before bursting into laughter.

Cy: Roedd angen iddynt ddod o hyd i ateb heb syrthio i banig.
En: They needed to find an answer without falling into panic.

Cy: Fodd bynnag, ni phanigodd neb - roedd Rhys eisoes yn gyfarwydd â'r dafad, a oedd yn aml yn dianc o'i gae er mwyn crwydro.
En: However, no one panicked - Rhys was already familiar with the sheep, which often escaped from its field to wander.

Cy: "I'w hunain, Meg!
En: "Come on, Meg!"

Cy: " galwodd Rhys y ffermwr, wrth gerdded tuag at y dafad, ond roedd hi'n brysur yn mwynhau ei chwrw newydd ddarganfod.
En: called Rhys the farmer, walking towards the sheep, but she was busy enjoying her newfound beer.

Cy: Ar ôl peth trafodaeth, penderfynodd Elin fod angen mynd â Meg yn ôl i’r cae cyn iddi achosi mwy o helynt.
En: After some discussion, Elin decided to take Meg back to the field before she caused more trouble.

Cy: Gwen, gyda’i meddwl cyflym, aeth a chasét o wair o’r cegin – oedd wedi cael ei baratoi ar gyfer noson Fangladd Gaeaf y dafarn.
En: Gwen, with quick thinking, took a handful of barley from the kitchen – which had been prepared for the tavern's Winter Wake night.

Cy: Arweiniwyd Meg yn ôl tuag at y cae gan yr arwydd o fwyd.
En: Meg was led back to the field by the sign of food.

Cy: Roedd Rhys yn ddiolchgar am eu cymorth.
En: Rhys was grateful for their help.

Cy: I ddiolch iddynt, trefnodd Rhys ar gyfer Elin a Gwen i gael taith am ddim ar gefn fferm ar ei tractor.
En: In gratitude, Rhys arranged for Elin and Gwen to have a free ride on the back of his tractor around the farm.

Cy: Daeth y diwrnod i ben gyda'r tri yn edrych ar gastell Caerffili wrth iddynt dreulio'r hwyr yn siarad am eu hantur rhyfedd a'r dafad a ladratodd ei phint.
En: The day ended with the three of them looking at Caerphilly Castle as they spent the evening talking about their strange adventure and the sheep that stole her pint.

Cy: Gwen lefarodd yn ddiddorol, "Mae diwrnodau fel hyn yn gwneud bywyd ym mhentref bach yn ddigyffro go iawn!
En: Gwen spoke interestingly, "Days like this make life in a small village truly exciting!"

Cy: "Ac o hynny ymlaen, byddai pob ymwelydd newydd â'r dafarn yn cael eu croesawu gyda'r enigmatic gwybod am y diwrnod y daeth Meg y dafad a sut y gwnaeth fynd i mewn i hanes y pentref fel y creadur bach mwyaf dirdynnol a dreiddgar yn y lle.
En: And from there on, every new visitor to the tavern would be welcomed with the enigmatic knowledge of the day Meg the sheep came and how it became woven into the village's history as the most intriguing and mischievous little creature in the place.

Cy: Ac felly, roedd hedd a threfn eto wedi dychwelyd i dafarn glyd y pentref, tra bod y castell hynafol yn sefyll uwch eu pennau yn dyst i'r epig hon o antur dafad a chants.
En: And thus, peace and order had returned to the cozy village tavern, while the ancient castle stood high above them as a witness to this epic adventure of sheep and pints.
