Story Transcript:

Ga: Lá breá fómhair a bhí ann, agus an ghrian ag lonrú síos ar na sráideanna ciúine i mBaile Átha Cliath.
En: It was a beautiful autumn day, with the sun shining down on the quiet streets of Dublin.

Ga: Bhí sean-teach tábhairne beag ansin le doras adhmaid agus fuinneoga beaga stainghlais.
En: There was a small old pub there with a wooden door and small, stained-glass windows.

Ga: "The Celtic Whistle" an t-ainm a bhí air, áit ina mbailíodh muintir na háite chun scíth a ligint tar éis lae crua oibre.
En: Its name was "The Celtic Whistle," a place where the locals gathered to relax after a hard day's work.

Ga: Bhí Sean, fear ard le gruaig rua, ag siúl go mall i dtreo an tí tábhairne, ag súil go mór leis an tráthnóna a chaitheamh le cairde.
En: Sean, a tall man with red hair, was walking slowly towards the pub, looking forward to spending the evening with friends.

Ga: Bhí sé an-chairdiúil agus spraoiúil, duine a shílfeá nach rachadh aon rud cearr dó riamh.
En: He was very friendly and jovial, someone you'd never think would have any trouble.

Ga: Thug Niamh agus Caoimhe, beirt cairde maithe le Sean, faoi deara é ag teacht.
En: Niamh and Caoimhe, two close friends of Sean, noticed him arriving.

Ga: Bhí siad suite ag bord cois fuinneoige agus iad ag comhrá go bríomhar.
En: They were seated at a table by the fireplace, chatting animatedly.

Ga: Bhí gáire agus áthas sa teach tábhairne, agus bhí deochanna agus ceol den scoth ann.
En: There was laughter and joy in the pub, and excellent drinks and music.

Ga: Nuair a shroich Sean an beár, d'ordaigh sé pionta beoir, ag iarraidh taitneamh a bhaint as an oíche.
En: When Sean reached the bar, he ordered a pint of beer, wanting to enjoy the night.

Ga: Ach díreach mar a rug an freastalaí an pionta dó, bhuail duine éigin isteach i Sean.
En: But just as the bartender handed him the pint, someone bumped into Sean.

Ga: Caillte ina smaointe, dhoirt sé an beoir go léir anuas air féin.
En: Lost in thought, he spilled the entire beer on himself.

Ga: Bhí sé fliuch go craiceann, agus dath dearg ar a aghaidh.
En: He was soaked to the skin, with a red face.

Ga: Ach níorbh é sin deireadh a thrioblóide.
En: But that wasn't the end of his trouble.

Ga: Agus é ag iarraidh teacht chuige féin agus fanacht ina sheasamh, ní fhaca sé an craiceann banana a bhí ar an urlár.
En: Trying to come to his senses and stand his ground, he didn't notice the banana peel on the floor.

Ga: Chas a chos air, agus titim béal dorais a rinne sé ar an urlár go clúmhach.
En: His foot slipped, and he fell flat on the floor, mouth wide open.

Ga: Bhris gáire amach ar fud an tí tábhairne.
En: Laughter filled the pub.

Ga: Bhí gach éinne ag gáire go hard, na deora ag sileadh síos a n-aghaidheanna.
En: Everyone was laughing out loud, tears streaming down their faces.

Ga: Bhí náire an domhain ar Sean, a ach is cinnte gur chuir sé aoibhneas ar chroíthe an tslua.
En: Sean was embarrassed, but he certainly brought joy to the hearts of the crowd.

Ga: Caoimhe agus Niamh, áfach, rith siad chun cabhrú leis.
En: Caoimhe and Niamh, however, ran to help him.

Ga: Thairg siad a lámha dó, agus éirigh sé ina sheasamh go ciotach.
En: They offered him their hands, and he stood up carefully.

Ga: D'iarr siad maithiúnas dó as a n-gáire, ach mhol siad dó gan a bheith róbuartha faoin eachtra.
En: They apologized for their laughter, but they praised him for not being too upset about the incident.

Ga: Le lámh chúnta óna chairde, agus le croí éadrom, shocraigh Sean an t-imeacht a thabhairt dó mar chuimhneachán ar an chumhacht atá ag cairdeas agus greann sa saol.
En: With a helping hand from his friends, and a light heart, Sean decided to take the mishap as a reminder of the power of friendship and humor in life.

Ga: D'ordaigh sé pionta eile—ach an uair seo, choinnigh sé go daingean é.
En: He ordered another pint--but this time, he held onto it firmly.

Ga: Agus ansin, ghlac an t-amhránaí atá ann go buan, Sean ina lámha é féin sa deireadh.
En: And then, the singer in the pub, took Sean's hands in the end.

Ga: Chuir sé tús le port álainn, agus éirigh leis an gcainte a thabhairt ar mhaithe le ceol.
En: He started a beautiful tune, and managed to turn the incident into a talk in favor of music.

Ga: Phreab croíthe na ndaoine arís, agus bhí fonóid i ndán do gach duine sa teach tabhairne "The Celtic Whistle".
En: People's hearts jumped again, and fun was in store for everyone in "The Celtic Whistle."

Ga: Ón lá sin amach, bhí Sean ar a dtugtar mar "Fear na Beorach" sna scéalta a insíodh thart faoin gcathair, agus d'fhan sé i gcónaí mar fhinscéal beag dea-intinne agus gáire sa teach tábhairne ba bheoga i mBaile Átha Cliath.
En: From that day on, Sean, known as "The Banana Man" in the stories told around the city, remained a small, good-natured legend and laughter in the lively pub in Dublin.
