A question is raised about animals and whether they have to go through an awakening process like humans. The underlying assumption in the question however, is that animals, humans, and other "sentient beings" are fundamentally different than other dream images which do not seem to be sentient (rocks, cars, clouds, etc..). The truth however is that all illusions are the same. The ego made all of them, and the Spirit has never incarnated into any of them. For how could the infinite become finite? That is the trick which maintains the belief in separation and that illusion is reality.

Forgive this illusion by seeing through it, and you will see that our one Spirit remains perfectly beyond all images of separation including persons, things, animals, etc.. These images can be used by Spirit as symbols of Love within the dream, but symbols are still only symbols and do not need to awaken. Enlightenment sees that it was never the separate beings that needed to awaken, but only the mind that believed in separate beings.
