Ro: Ioan se trezi devreme în dimineața aceea de vară.
En: Ioan woke up early that summer morning.

Ro: Aerul era proaspăt, iar păsările cântau vesel.
En: The air was fresh, and the birds were singing cheerfully.

Ro: El știa că trebuie să meargă la piața de afară din satul Bran pentru a cumpăra cele mai bune produse pentru oaspeții săi.
En: He knew he had to go to the open market in the village of Bran to buy the best products for his guests.

Ro: Casa de oaspeți a lui Ioan avea nevoie de cele mai proaspete fructe și legume.
En: Ioan's guesthouse needed the freshest fruits and vegetables.

Ro: Eliza, o tânără din oraș, se afla și ea în Bran, în căutare de liniște și inspirație pentru blogul ei.

En: I'd like to buy them for my guests," said Ioan.

Ro: Eliza nu se lăsă mai prejos.
En: Eliza wasn't giving up either.

Ro: "Sunt dispusă să plătesc dublu pentru ele.
En: "I’m willing to pay double for them.

Ro: Am nevoie de ele pentru inspirație," spuse ea hotărâtă.
En: I need them for inspiration," she said determinedly.

Ro: Vânzătorul, Nedelcu, se uita întrebător la amândoi.
En: The vendor, Nedelcu, looked questioningly at both of them.

Ro: Nu știa cui să i le dea.
En: He didn't know whom to give them to.

Ro: Văzând că niciunul nu renunță, Ioan și Eliza ajunseră să se certe prietenește.
En: Seeing that neither was backing down, Ioan and Eliza began to argue good-naturedly.

Ro: Ceilalți săteni și vânzători râdeau și îi priveau cu interes.
En: The other villagers and vendors laughed and watched them with interest.

Ro: "De ce nu împărțiți căpșunile?
En: "Why don't you share the strawberries?"

Ro: " propuse Nedelcu, zâmbind.
En: Nedelcu suggested, smiling.

Ro: "Așa veți avea amândoi ce vă doriți.
En: "That way, you'll both get what you want."

Ro: "Ioan și Eliza se uitară unul la altul și, după o clipă de gândire, acceptară.
En: Ioan and Eliza looked at each other and, after a moment of thought, agreed.

Ro: Cumpărară coșul și împărțiră căpșunile pe jumătate.
En: They bought the basket and split the strawberries in half.

En: Then, Ioan suggested that Eliza explore the village together.
