Story Transcript:

Ga: Lá breá gréine a bhí ann nuair a shocraigh triúr cairde, Saoirse, Declan, agus Caoimhe, tabhairt faoi thuras go Caisleán an Bhlarna.
En: It was a beautiful sunny day when three friends, Saoirse, Declan, and Caoimhe, decided to embark on a trip to Blarney Castle.

Ga: Bhíodar ag caint agus ag gáire ar a mbealach aníos an cnoc fada, mar gheall ar an seanscéal a deirtear go mbeireann tú ar an mbronntanas labhartha má phógann tú an Chloch Bhlarnach.
En: They were chatting and laughing as they made their way up the long hill, all because of the legend that says you will gain the gift of gab if you kiss the Blarney Stone.

Ga: Nuair a shroich siad barr an chaisleáin, chonaic siad an chloch rapaire cáiliúil féin.
En: When they reached the top of the castle, they saw the famous Blarney Stone itself.

Ga: Bhí tonn sceitimíneach tríothu agus Saoirse an chéad duine le triail a bhaint as an ngaiscíocht.
En: A wave of excitement swept over them, and Saoirse was the first to attempt the feat.

Ga: Shiúil sí suas go cróga, agus i gcuimhne ar an seanscéal, chrom sí síos chun póg a thabhairt don chloch.
En: She bravely walked up, and, remembering the legend, leaned down to kiss the stone.

Ga: Ach, le hiontas an tsaoil, ghabh a lámh sa chloch nuair a rinne sí iarracht dochreidte a cuid cainte a fheabhsú!
En: But to everyone's surprise, her hand got stuck in the stone when she attempted to improve her incredible speech!

Ga: "Ó, mo chroí!
En: "Oh, my heart!

Ga: Tá mo lámh sáite!
En: My hand is stuck!"

Ga: " a scairt Saoirse, agus í ag streachailt le saoirse a bhaint amach.
En: Saoirse shouted, struggling to free herself.

Ga: Tháinig Declan agus Caoimhe ina haice láithreach agus thosaigh siad ar iarrachtaí greannmhara í a shaoradh.
En: Declan and Caoimhe immediately jumped into action and tried humorous attempts to free her.

Ga: Rinne Declan iarracht a lámh a tharraingt amach go réidh agus é ag rá, "Beidh tú saor anois, gan aon níochán!
En: Declan tried to pull her hand out smoothly, saying, "You’ll be free now, no strings attached!"

Ga: " Ach, bhí Saoirse fós ina haonar.
En: But Saoirse was still stuck.

Ga: Thosaigh Caoimhe ag gáire agus í ag tabhairt smideadh uirthi, "B’fhéidir go bhfuil tú ró-éirimiúil do do mhaith féin!
En: Caoimhe started laughing and teasing her, "Maybe you're too attached to your own good!"

Ga: " a dúirt sí agus í ag tabhairt ola a bhí aici ina mála léi chun a lámh a bhealú.
En: she said, applying the oil she had in her bag to free her hand.

Ga: Tar éis roinnt am, agus gan éinne ag greim na huaire, mhothaigh Saoirse a lámh ag sleamhnú beagán.
En: After some time, and with no one holding back, Saoirse felt her hand slowly slipping.

Ga: Le cabhair óna cairde agus beagán ola ó Chaoimhe, fuair Saoirse a lámh ar ais faoi dheireadh!
En: With help from her friends and a little oil from Caoimhe, Saoirse finally got her hand back at last!

Ga: Bhí faoiseamh agus gáire i ngach a raibh i láthair, agus aithníodh luach na fíréantachta agus cairdeas.
En: There was relief and laughter all around, and the value of bravery and friendship was recognized.

Ga: D’fhoghlaim Saoirse go raibh sí cheana féin lán le cumas cainte agus gur leor an muinín a bhí aici ina cairde chun í a shaoradh.
En: Saoirse learned that she already had the gift of speaking and that she had enough confidence in her friends to help her free herself.

Ga: 'Scéal álainn é seo faoi draíocht na carraige, ach scéal níos aoibhne fós faoi neart na cairdeas,' a chloisteáil ó bheola na gcuairteoirí eile agus iad ag fágáil an tseanchaisleáin le croíthe éadroma agus gáire ina súilibh.
En: "This is a lovely tale about the magic of the stone, but an even more delightful tale about the strength of friendship," was heard from the mouths of the other visitors as they left the ancient castle with light hearts and laughter in their eyes.
