Ca: El sol brillant donava poc confort en el món devastat que envoltava Pere, Mariona i Lluc.
En: The bright sun offered little comfort in the devastated world that surrounded Pere, Mariona, and Lluc.

Ca: La ciutat que un cop floria era ara una massa de ferro rovellat i ciment trencat.
En: The once-flourishing city was now a mass of rusted iron and broken concrete.

Ca: Les plantes havien conquerit els carrers, i el silenci era trencat només pel vent o sorolls misteriosos.
En: Plants had conquered the streets, and the silence was broken only by the wind or mysterious noises.

Ca: Pere era el líder incansable.
En: Pere was the tireless leader.

Ca: Havia vist moltes coses terribles.
En: He had seen many terrible things.

Ca: Però no podia deixar que el seu passat dolorós el paralitzés.
En: But he couldn't let his painful past paralyze him.

Ca: Pere es va rascar el cap pensatiu.
En: Pere scratched his head thoughtfully.

Ca: El temps estava en contra seva, però els camins segurs eren cada cop més escassos.
En: Time was against them, but safe paths were getting scarcer.

Ca: —Prenem el camí llarg —va dir Pere finalment.
En: "We take the long path," Pere finally said.

Ca: Mariona semblava alleujada, però Lluc estava inquiet.
En: Mariona seemed relieved, but Lluc was uneasy.

Ca: —No podrem arribar abans que es faci fosc —va xiuxiuejar Lluc.
En: "We won't make it before dark," Lluc whispered.

Ca: Seguiren el camí llarg, però la tensió creixia.
En: They followed the long path, but the tension was rising.

Ca: La fam començava a reclamar i Mariona va prendre una decisió difícil.
En: Hunger started to claim them, and Mariona made a difficult decision.

Ca: Volia deixar el grup per buscar la seva família.
En: She wanted to leave the group to search for her family.

Ca: —No puc continuar sense saber on són —va dir Mariona.
En: "I can't continue without knowing where they are," Mariona said.

Ca: Pere la va mirar amb severitat.
En: Pere looked at her severely.

Ca: Sabia que era perillós, però també sabia que no podia aturar-la.
En: He knew it was dangerous, but he also knew he couldn't stop her.

Ca: Li va donar una abraçada ferma i li va desitjar sort.
En: He gave her a firm hug and wished her luck.

Ca: El sol començava a baixar quan una tràgica confrontació va tenir lloc.
En: The sun was starting to set when a tragic confrontation took place.

Ca: Un grup de saquejadors amenaçava la seva seguretat.
En: A group of raiders threatened their safety.

Ca: Lluc es va amagar darrere d'un mur mig enderrocat, mentre Pere es posava en posició de defensa.

En: The fight was intense.

Ca: Pere va veure un dels saquejadors anar cap a Lluc i va cridar:—Allunya't de Lluc!
En: Pere saw one of the raiders going towards Lluc and shouted: "Stay away from Lluc!"

Ca: Mariona, que havia decidit no abandonar-los, va arribar just a temps.
En: Mariona, who had decided not to abandon them, arrived just in time.

Ca: Va lluitar al costat de Pere, i junts van aconseguir foragitar els saquejadors.
En: She fought alongside Pere, and together they managed to drive away the raiders.

Ca: Lluc es va aixecar tremolant.
En: Lluc stood up trembling.

Ca: —Estàs bé?
En: "Are you okay?"

Ca: —va preguntar Pere a Lluc.
En: Pere asked Lluc.

Ca: Lluc va assentir amb el cap, amb els ulls plens de gratitud i una nova maduresa.
En: Lluc nodded, his eyes filled with gratitude and a newfound maturity.

Ca: Amb la perill ja fora, varen trobar una petita casa amagatall.
En: With the danger now gone, they found a small hideaway.

Ca: No era ideal, però era segur per a la nit.
En: It wasn't ideal, but it was safe for the night.

Ca: Pere va mirar l'equip i va sentir una nova onada d'empatia.
En: Pere looked at the team and felt a new wave of empathy.

Ca: Mariona, amb llàgrimes als ulls, va adonar-se que la comunitat era tan important com la seva família perduda.
