Story Transcript:

Sl: Bledsko jezero je bilo tistega poletnega dne mirno in prosojno.
En: Lake Bled was calm and transparent that summer day.

Sl: Matej, Nina in Borut so se odpravili na izlet.
En: Matej, Nina, and Borut set out on a trip.

Sl: "Poglej, kako lepo je!
En: "Look how beautiful it is!"

Sl: " je vzkliknila Nina.
En: exclaimed Nina.

Sl: Matej je iz žepa potegnil telefon.
En: Matej took out his phone from his pocket.

Sl: "Naredimo selfie!
En: "Let's take a selfie!"

Sl: " je rekel.
En: he said.

Sl: Stopili so bližje vodi.
En: They stepped closer to the water.

Sl: Matej je stegnil roko, da bi zajel pogled na jezero.
En: Matej stretched out his hand to capture the view of the lake.

Sl: Nenadoma mu je telefon zdrsnil iz rok in padel v vodo.
En: Suddenly, the phone slipped from his hands and fell into the water.

Sl: "Oh, ne!
En: "Oh, no!"

Sl: " je zavpil Matej.
En: shouted Matej.

Sl: Vsi so strmeli, ko je telefon počasi potonil.
En: They all stared as the phone slowly sank.

Sl: Kar naenkrat se je iz jezera priblizal labod.
En: All of a sudden, a swan approached from the lake.

Sl: Videti je bil prijazen.
En: It looked friendly.

Sl: Labod je potegnil potopljen telefon iz vode z svojim kljunom.
En: The swan pulled the submerged phone out of the water with its beak.

Sl: "Poglej ga, pomagati želi!
En: "Look at that, it wants to help!"

Sl: " je rekla Nina.
En: said Nina.

Sl: Labod pa se ni ustavil.
En: But the swan didn't stop.

Sl: Obrnil se je in začel plavati stran s telefonom v kljunu.
En: It turned and started swimming away with the phone in its beak.

Sl: "Neee, labod!
En: "Nooo, swan!

Sl: Vzemi telefon nazaj!
En: Bring the phone back!"

Sl: " je Matej klical za njim.
En: Matej called after it.

Sl: Borut se je zasmejal.
En: Borut laughed.

Sl: "Moramo teči za njim!
En: "We have to run after it!"

Sl: "Smeje se, so začeli loviti laboda okoli obale.
En: Laughing, they began chasing the swan around the shore.

Sl: Labod je hitro plaval, obrnjen proti sredini jezera, nato zopet proti obrežju.
En: The swan swam quickly, turning towards the center of the lake and then back to the shore.

Sl: Matej tekel za njim, ko so v pristanišču našli čoln.
En: Matej ran after it, and they found a boat at the dock.

Sl: "Gremo!
En: "Let's go!"

Sl: " je rekel Borut in vskočili so v čoln ter začeli veslati.
En: said Borut, and they jumped into the boat and started rowing.

Sl: Nina je usmerjala čoln in kmalu so ujeli laboda.
En: Nina steered the boat, and soon they caught up with the swan.

Sl: Labod je skočil iz vode in telefon je padel nazaj v čoln.
En: The swan jumped out of the water and the phone fell back into the boat.

Sl: "Končno!
En: "Finally!"

Sl: " je dahnil Matej.
En: gasped Matej.

Sl: Vsi so se smejali in sopli od teka.
En: They all laughed and panted from running.

Sl: Matej je obrisal telefon z brisačo.
En: Matej wiped the phone with a towel.

Sl: Na srečo je še deloval.
En: Luckily, it still worked.

Sl: "Izgleda, da imamo tudi prijatelja na jezeru," je rekel in pogledal laboda, ki je plaval okoli čolna.
En: "It looks like we have a friend on the lake too," he said, looking at the swan swimming around the boat.

Sl: "Ampak danes brez več selfiejev," je rekla Nina s smehljajem.
En: "But no more selfies today," Nina said with a smile.

Sl: Vsi so se strinjali.
En: They all agreed.

Sl: Bil je dan, ki ga ne bodo nikoli pozabili.
En: It was a day they would never forget.
