This is the 4th episode we have talked aboutMeToo

You may have noticed that I start any MeToo with Alexis story. The reason is this and many other stories.

There has been another movement that has come up. It’s called church too.According to many users, the origin of #ChurchToo was traced to two women.Writer Hannah Paasch and spoken word poet. The date was around the end of November.


It has been in response to the issue inside the church.That for some, there has been a shroud of secrecy, silence, and abuse of biblical power on this. For others, many leaders like Franklin Graham, Denny Burk , and even newer voice Allie Beth Stuckey has said.


It has opened the door to some questions and anger. But it has also led to a shrug for many. Why? Because they have expected this. They don’t expect anything different.

But, you know what there are leaders trying to navigate through this. Three of them our guests today.

Rev. Kayko Driedger Hesslein, PhD.is a pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada with a Jewish American husband. I have two sons, and a PhD in Systematic Theology (and an Allied Field in History) from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. I am currently the interim pastor at Advent, Calgary, and I also teach theology as an adjunct faculty member at the Lutheran Theological Seminary - Saskatoon.
