Story Transcript:

Th: วันหนึ่งที่ตลาดน้ำที่คึกคักมาก, สมศรีกับพิชัยกำลังเดินเลือกซื้อของกันอยู่
En: One day at the bustling floating market, Somsri and Pichai were walking around choosing things to buy.

Th: น้องซึ่งเป็นหลานสาวของสมศรีก็ตามมาด้วย
En: Somsri's niece followed behind.

Th: ตลาดน้ำเต็มไปด้วยร้านค้าสารพัด มีของกินโชว์อยู่ทุกที่
En: The market was full of various shops, with food items on display everywhere.

Th: ผู้คนพลุกพล่านเดินกันไปมา เสียงพูดคุยกันอย่างเฮฮา
En: People were bustling about, chatting and laughing loudly.

Th: สมศรีผ่านร้านขายผักผลไม้มาเห็นอะไรบางอย่างที่น่าสนใจมาก มันคือผลไม้กลมๆ ที่มีหนาม
En: Somsri passed by a fruit and vegetable stall and saw something very interesting: it was a round fruit with spikes.

En: She thought it was a cantaloupe, so she bought it hoping to try it out.

Th: ทันทีที่ได้มาครอบครอง เธอก็นั่งลงที่ข้างๆพิชัย เตรียมจะกัดผลไม้นั้น
En: As soon as she got it, she sat down next to Pichai, ready to take a bite of the fruit.

Th: แต่เมื่อสมศรีเปิดผลไม้ที่เธอคิดว่าเป็นแตงโมออก กลิ่นที่ชวนให้หายใจไม่ออกได้โชยออกมา
En: But when Somsri opened the fruit she thought was a cantaloupe, a smell that made it hard to breathe wafted out.

Th: เธอตกใจจนกระโดดลุกขึ้นยืน "อ๊ะ! นี่มันกลิ่นอะไรน่ะ!"
En: She was startled and jumped up, exclaiming, "Oh! What's this smell?"

Th: แน่นอน เธอประสบพบกับทุเรียน ผลไม้ที่กลิ่นเป็นเอกลักษณ์มาก
En: She had indeed encountered a durian, a fruit with a very distinctive smell.

Th: พิชัยกับน้องที่เห็นสมศรีแล้วก็หัวเราะกันใหญ่
En: Seeing Somsri, Pichai and her niece burst into laughter.

Th: "พี่สมศรี นั่นไม่ใช่แตงโมนะคะ เนี่ยทุเรียนอ่ะ" น้องพูดพร้อมกับยิ้มให้กับสมศรี
En: "Sister Somsri, that's not a cantaloupe, that's a durian," her niece said, smiling at Somsri.

Th: สมศรีก็แค่ยิ้มและเสียงหัวเราะในความรู้สึกไม่ดี
En: Somsri just smiled and laughed along, feeling slightly embarrassed.

Th: แต่ด้วยความอยากรู้อยากลอง สมศรีจึงตัดสินใจลองชิมทุเรียนอย่างระมัดระวัง
En: However, driven by curiosity and a desire to try it, Somsri decided to cautiously taste the durian.

Th: และแล้วเธอก็ต้องยอมรับ ว่ารสชาติของมันนั้นหวานและอร่อยเกินคาด
En: And then she had to admit that its taste was unexpectedly sweet and delicious.

Th: กลิ่นอาจจะไม่น่าพอใจ แต่รสชาติของทุเรียนนั้นทำให้สมศรีประทับใจไม่รู้ลืม
En: The smell might not have been to her liking, but the taste of the durian left an unforgettable impression on Somsri.

Th: ตลาดน้ำวันนี้เต็มไปด้วยเสียงหัวเราะและความประทับใจใหม่ๆ
En: The floating market that day was filled with laughter and new impressions.

Th: สมศรีกะว่าคราวหน้า เธอจะต้องศึกษาให้ดีก่อนจะซื้อผลไม้ประหลาดอีก!
En: Somsri decided that next time, she would have to study more carefully before buying unfamiliar fruits!
