Nl: De regen viel neer op Amsterdam.
En: The rain fell down on Amsterdam.

Nl: Druppels tikten tegen de ramen en de straten glinsterden in het weinige licht.
En: Drops tapped against the windows and the streets glistened in the faint light.

Nl: Dit is het verhaal van Tim, een speelse jongeman, die woonde in die prachtige stad met zijn gigantische paraplu.
En: This is the story of Tim, a playful young man, who lived in that beautiful city with his enormous umbrella.

Nl: Tim was echt dol op zijn paraplu.
En: Tim truly loved his umbrella.

Nl: Het was geen gewone paraplu, het was groot genoeg om je helemaal droog te houden.
En: It wasn't just any umbrella, it was big enough to keep you completely dry.

Nl: Hij hield het boven zijn hoofd, of hij nu aan het lopen was of op zijn fiets aan het peddelen.
