Story Transcript:

Nl: David, Jan en Sophie hadden een groot idee. Ze woonden allen in Amsterdam, in de hoogste toren die uitkeek over de bruisende stad. Ze hielden erg van stroopwafels. Zo zoet en lekker. Ze droomden van een toren vol van deze lekkernijen.
En: David, Jan, and Sophie had a great idea. They all lived in Amsterdam, in the tallest tower overlooking the bustling city. They loved stroopwafels. So sweet and delicious. They dreamed of a tower full of these treats.

Nl: Op een zonnige dag's ochtend hadden ze een grote stapel stroopwafels. Ze keken ernaar en glimlachten, ze vonden ze prachtig. "We gaan fietsen door de stad met dit!", zei Jan met zijn ogen vol twinkels. Ze stapten op hun fietsen, balancerend met de hoge stapel verse stroopwafels.
En: One sunny morning, they had a big stack of stroopwafels. They looked at them and smiled, finding them beautiful. "Let's bike through the city with these!" exclaimed Jan, his eyes twinkling. They hopped on their bikes, balancing the high stack of fresh stroopwafels.

Nl: Ah, de stad was zo druk! Mensen lachten, praatten en kochten spullen op de markt. De geur van vers voedsel vulde de lucht. David, Jan en Sophie begonnen te fietsen op de stenen straat.
En: Oh, the city was so busy! People were laughing, chatting, and shopping at the market. The smell of fresh food filled the air. David, Jan, and Sophie started biking on the stone street.

Nl: "Ai!", riep David plots. Een kat liep bijna voor zijn fiets. Jan lachte, maar hij moest ook bijna vallen. Sophie riep: "Kijk uit!". Ze lachten, maar de stroopwafels bleven balanceren.
En: "Ouch!" David suddenly exclaimed. A cat almost ran in front of his bike. Jan laughed, but he also almost fell. Sophie shouted, "Watch out!" They laughed, but the stroopwafels kept balancing.

Nl: Sophie zag een groep mensen staan. Ze verkochten bloemen. Ze hield van bloemen. Rood, geel, paars. Ze keek te veel naar de bloemen. "Oh nee!", schreeuwde ze. BANG! Ze botste tegen een mand met appels.
En: Sophie saw a group of people standing. They were selling flowers. She loved flowers. Red, yellow, purple. She stared at the flowers too much. "Oh no!" she screamed. CRASH! She collided with a basket of apples.

Nl: Appels rolden over de straat. Mensen keken. Sophie stond op. Ze was oké. Ze keek naar de toren van stroopwafels. De toren stond nog steeds! Ze glimlachte en zei: "We kunnen doorgaan!".
En: Apples rolled on the street. People looked. Sophie got up. She was okay. She looked at the tower of stroopwafels. The tower was still standing! She smiled and said, "We can keep going!".

Nl: Ze fietsten langs de kanalen, over de bruggen, door smalle straatjes met mooie huizen. De toren van stroopwafels was nog steeds hoog. Mensen lachten en wezen ernaar. Ze waren verrast en verbaasd.
En: They biked along the canals, over the bridges, through narrow streets with beautiful houses. The tower of stroopwafels was still high. People laughed and pointed at it. They were surprised and amazed.

Nl: Aan het eind van de dag keerden ze terug naar hun hoge toren in de stad. Ze waren blij. Hun avontuur was goed gegaan. En de stroopwafeltoren? Die stond er nog steeds, hoog en sterk. De drie vrienden bekeken hun stroopwafeltoren en lachten. Wat een geweldige dag in Amsterdam, dachten ze.
En: At the end of the day, they returned to their tall tower in the city. They were happy. Their adventure had gone well. And the stroopwafel tower? It was still there, tall and strong. The three friends looked at their stroopwafel tower and laughed. What a wonderful day in Amsterdam, they thought.

Nl: Ze leerden iets die dag. Ze leerden dat het leven soms moeilijk kan zijn. Maar met vrienden en een beetje balans, kun je zelfs de hoogste toren van stroopwafels rechtop houden.
