Story Transcript:
En: On the evening of May 1st, in the tavern "Golden Gunpowder", in the middle of the village, the ticking sounds of the fiddlers filled the air.
En: Jovana, Aleksandar, and Milica were there.
En: Jovana with a floral shawl across her shoulders and a childlike gaze, Aleksandar with a deep laugh, and Milica like a pearl in a shell with big eyes, were trying to absorb everything around them.
En: It seemed that throughout the evening, in their honor, the precursor of the big folk dance was one person - Dragan, who flawlessly knew all Serbian folk dances.
En: Jovana, Aleksandar, and Milica decided to follow him and, if possible, surpass him.
En: For hours they danced, spinning in circles, playing in tune with Serbian folk music.
En: Like a group of partisans filled with fighting spirit, they marched, movements full of synchrony.
En: But then, in the midst of the desire to surpass their ability, Aleksandar stumbled and fell, crashing his face on the ground.
Sr: Утишана музика.
En: The music hushed.
En: The spectators laughed, and Milica covered her mouth in shock.
En: Jovana looked with a shadow of disappointment passing over her brother's face.
En: Despite the mockery, Aleksandar continued.
En: Ignited by the challenge, he got up, dusted himself off, and gradually regained the rhythm of his dance.
En: Amazing his friends and the audience, he managed to return and succeed.
En: First, the tavern fell silent.
En: Then they erupted into applause.
En: Aleksandar returned and he was more magnificent than before.
En: Dragan, with respect, bowed to Aleksandar.
En: A smile appeared on his face, knowing he had passed the baton to the weaker Aleksandar.
En: Jovana, Aleksandar, and Milica found their way to the winner's podium after a series of spins and falls.
En: It was a night they would long remember, teaching them that success does not lie in documented achievements but in the ability to continue after failure.
