Story Transcript:

Ca: Una ciutat bullint de vida, amb les seves calles encaixades en un laberint de pedra i història, així és Barcelona. En aquest escenari, la nostra història pren la forma d'una trobada inesperada entre la Marta, una turista innocent, i en Jordi, un barceloní astut amb un sentit de l'humor un tant peculiar.
En: A buzzing city, with its streets nestled in a maze of stone and history, that's Barcelona. In this setting, our story takes the form of an unexpected encounter between Marta, an innocent tourist, and Jordi, a clever Barcelonian with a somewhat peculiar sense of humor.

Ca: Dues persones amb destins tan diferents com un potser, i un què if? Els seus camins es van creuar en la colorida plaça de Sant Jaume, lloc on la Marta s’adonà que havia perdut el seu camí. Amb la guia turística a la mà, però amb un sentit de l'orientació gairebé inexistent, la seva cara reflectia l'angoixa. Aquesta commoció no passà desapercebuda per a en Jordi, que decidí acostar-se amb un somriure travesser.
En: Two people with such different paths like a maybe, and a what if? Their paths crossed in the colorful Sant Jaume square, where Marta realized that she had lost her way. With the tourist guide in her hand, but with an almost nonexistent sense of direction, her face reflected anguish. This commotion did not go unnoticed by Jordi, who decided to approach her with a mischievous smile.

Ca: "Sembla que estàs una mica perduda, puc ajudar-te?". Demanà Jordi amb una veu amigable. La seva proposta d'ajuda semblava sincerament desinteressada, una mostra de cortesia que la Marta no passà per alt. Li mostrà el lloc a la guia on volia arribar. En Jordi, amb un somriure que no aconseguia amagar, començà a donar-li indicacions.
En: "It seems like you're a bit lost, can I help you?" Jordi asked with a friendly voice. His offer of help seemed sincerely selfless, a display of courtesy that Marta did not overlook. She showed him the place in the guide where she wanted to go. With a smile he couldn't hide, Jordi began giving her directions.

Ca: Seguint els consells d'en Jordi, la Marta es trobà passejant per tota la ciutat. Del Gòtic al Raval, de Poble Sec a la Vila Olímpica, la Marta va passar per racons de Barcelona que ni tan sols sabia que existien. El que havien de ser 15 minuts es va convertir en hores. La ciutat no deixava de sorprendre-la: cada carrer era un nou escenari, cada plaça un nou quadre per encabir a la seva galeria de records.
En: Following Jordi's advice, Marta found herself strolling through the entire city. From the Gothic Quarter to Raval, from Poble Sec to the Vila Olimpica, Marta visited corners of Barcelona that she didn't even know existed. What was supposed to be 15 minutes turned into hours. The city never stopped surprising her: every street was a new scene, every square a new painting to add to her gallery of memories.

Ca: Però amb el passar de les hores, la Marta començà a sentir-se cansada i frustrada. Quan finalment arribà a la Sagrada Família, es adonà que allò no era el Parc de la Ciutadella com li havia dit en Jordi. Havien passat quatre hores des de que s'havien trobat a plaça Sant Jaume. La Marta no sabia si riure o plorar.
En: But as the hours passed, Marta began to feel tired and frustrated. When she finally arrived at Sagrada Familia, she realized that it wasn't Parc de la Ciutadella as Jordi had told her. Four hours had passed since they met at Sant Jaume square. Marta didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Ca: Casualment, en aquell moment, en Jordi passava per allà. Veient la cara de la Marta, n’hi hagué prou per a comprendre les seves equivocacions. Li espetà un "ho sents?", però la seva veu no sonava com qui està sincerament penedit. Tot i així, l’humor de la Marta es va lleugerament recobrar. Reconeixia que malgrat haver estat vagant, havia vist grans racons de la ciutat.
En: Coincidentally, Jordi happened to pass by at that moment. Seeing Marta's face was enough to understand her mistakes. He blurted out a "oops," but his voice didn't sound genuinely regretful. Nevertheless, Marta's sense of humor slightly recovered. She recognized that despite getting lost, she had seen great parts of the city.

Ca: Decidits a no repetir el mateix error, buscaren les indicacions correctes per arribar al Parc de la Ciutadella. Finalment, amb l’ajuda d’un vell mapari, aconseguiren arribar al seu destí. Exhausta, però satisfeta, la Marta li va oferir un sincer "gràcies" amb un somriure cansat. Aquest cop, en Jordi li tornà el somriure, però sense cap gest de travessura.
En: Determined not to repeat the same mistake, they searched for the correct directions to get to Parc de la Ciutadella. Finally, with the help of an old map seller, they managed to reach their destination. Exhausted but satisfied, Marta offered a sincere "thank you" with a tired smile. This time, Jordi returned the smile, but without any mischievous gesture.

Ca: I així, en un dia ple d'errades i estones de riures, la Marta va aprendre a apreciar la bellesa de l'imatge que es troba més enllà de la perfecció dels mapes. En Jordi, al seu torn, va aprendre que una broma pot convertir-se en una aventura inesperada. Dos desconeguts, dos camins encreuats, una ciutat i mil històries per contar. Això és Barcelona. I qui sap, potser un bon dia tornen a trobar-se, en una altra plaça, en un altre carrer, en una altra aventura. Però aquesta, ja serà una altra història.
En: And so, on a day filled with mistakes and moments of laughter, Marta learned to appreciate the beauty of the image that lies beyond the perfection of maps. Jordi, in turn, learned that a joke can turn into an unexpected adventure. Two strangers, two crossed paths, one city, and a thousand stories to tell. That's Barcelona. And who knows, maybe one day they'll meet again, in another square, on another street, in another adventure. But that will be another story.
