Toddler & Baby Rescued: Cops Arrest Belligerent 'Nyquil Mom' Drunk Driving!
On March 29th, 2023, officers in New Mexico received a call from a concerned individual about a female drunk driver with two children in her car. The caller told the officer they attempted to drive the suspect and her children home in her car when she forced the caller out of the car and drove away. The officer located the driver with her two young children pulled over in a side alley before asking her to exit the vehicle. The suspect agreed to perform SFSTs (Standardized Field Sobriety Tests) for the officer. The suspect told the officer she had consumed Nyquil and smoked marijuana an hour earlier. Based on the evidence and the suspect’s SFTSs, the officer arrested her for suspected DWI. After being placed in handcuffs, the suspect became verbally abusive with officers while being taken to the patrol car. The suspect refused to provide the officer with any family members' details to come to collect her kids. Officers continued to work with the suspect to provide a family member’s details who could collect the young children. Eventually, the suspect provided a family member’s details to the officers. Officers transported the suspect to the police department for further processing. At the police department, officers learn she is on probation for another incident. After officers contacted the suspect’s family, they quickly arrived to safely collect the young children and take them home. The suspect was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and 2 Counts of Child Abuse. #police #policebodycam #cops
