Story Transcript:

Ja: 東京のひろがる街並み、光と影が交錯する場所。そこに暮らす一人の少女がいました、その名前はゆき。ゆきは前向きな種子で、かつては失敗を気に病むこともありましたが、笑顔を絶やさずに過ごすことで、その気持ちを克服する力を得ていたのです。
En: The expanding cityscape of Tokyo, where light and shadow intersect. There lived a girl named Yuki. Yuki was a positive-minded individual, though she used to worry about failures in the past. By keeping a smile on her face and not giving up, she found the strength to overcome those feelings.

Ja: ある日、学校から帰る途中に朝からサワリのないゆきは、通りがかった自動販売機で何となく飲み物を買うことにしました。彼女は疲れていたため、無意識に自動販売機にお辞儀をしてしまう。彼女の動きに誤解を生んだ通りすがりの男性は、彼女が自動販売機に感謝の意を示していると思い込み、その場で彼女に声をかけました。
En: One day, on her way home from school, feeling a bit tired and with no particular reason, Yuki decided to buy a drink from a vending machine she passed by in the morning. Unintentionally, she bowed to the vending machine as a gesture of thanks. The man passing by misunderstood her action, thinking she was showing gratitude to the vending machine, and approached her.

Ja: 「自動販売機に挨拶をするなんて、それはすごく礼儀正しい行いだね。」ゆきは彼の言葉に驚き、自分の行動の評価に混乱しました。しかし、彼の言葉を心に刻み込み、少し戸惑ぎつつも彼に笑顔でありがとうと返しました。
En: "It's very polite of you to greet the vending machine like that," the man said. Yuki was surprised by his words and felt confused about the evaluation of her actions. Nevertheless, she engraved his words in her heart and, albeit a bit perplexed, she thanked him with a smile.

En: After that incident, Yuki learned the importance of genuinely saying "thank you" even to inanimate objects and in everyday life. She not only conveyed her gratitude to those around her but also brought warmth to people's hearts.

En: In the end, the small misunderstanding caused by Yuki bowing to the vending machine turned into a source of great joy for both herself and those around her.
