Story Transcript:

Lt: Saulė ką tik prasiskverbia per Jonuką.
En: The sun had just pierced through Jonukas.

Lt: Jonas išėjo pasitikrinti savo daržo, kurį jis labai myli.
En: Jonas went out to check on his garden, which he loves very much.

Lt: Bet bėda buvo tokia: jam iškritus, vėjas užmušė duris.
En: But there was a problem: when he went out, the wind slammed the door shut.

Lt: Ir, o bėda, jos užsirakino!
En: And, unfortunately, it got locked!

Lt: Jonas pradžioje buvo nustebęs, o paskui jis susierzino.
En: At first, Jonas was surprised, but then he got annoyed.

Lt: Jis bandė atidaryti duris, bet nieko, jos liko užverstos.
En: He tried to open the door, but nothing, it remained locked.

Lt: Jonas pasuko į kiemą, pabandė ieškoti kito įėjimo, bet visur buvo užrakinta.
En: Jonas turned to the yard and tried to find another entrance, but everything was locked.

Lt: Netrukus pamačiau kaimynę Eleną.
En: Soon, he saw his neighbor Elena.

Lt: Ji atėjo paklausti, kas atsitiko.
En: She came to ask what happened.

Lt: Jonas pasakojo apie savo nemalonę.
En: Jonas told her about his misfortune.

Lt: Elena norėjo padėti.
En: Elena wanted to help.

Lt: Ji pasiūlė pasikvieti santechniką arba užraktą keisti.
En: She suggested calling a locksmith or changing the lock.

Lt: Jonas pagalvojo, kad gal toks sprendimas gali būti geras, bet jiems reikėjo raktų nuo namo, kurie taip pat liko viduje.

Lt: Ši pamatė Joną ir Eleną besiginčijant dėl raktų.
En: She saw Jonas and Elena arguing about the keys.

Lt: Viktorija buvo maža ir liekna, pasiūlė pro katino langelį įlįsti ir atidaryti duris iš vidaus.
En: Viktorija, who was small and slender, suggested climbing through the cat's flap and opening the door from the inside.

Lt: Jonas ir Elena džiaugėsi šia mintimi.
En: Jonas and Elena were delighted by this idea.

Lt: Viktorija švelniai peršoko per langelį ir vos neakimirksniu atidarė duris.
En: Viktorija gently squeezed through the flap and in no time, opened the door.

Lt: Jonas buvo labai dėkingas ir Elenos, ir ypač Viktorijos.
En: Jonas was very grateful to both Elena and, especially, Viktorija.

Lt: Nusprendė, kad reikia keisti spynas į tokias, kurios nebeužsirakintų taip netikėtai.
En: He decided that they needed to change the locks to ones that wouldn't lock so unexpectedly.

Lt: Jonas, Elena ir Viktorija liko kieme, kalbėjosi apie gyvenimą ir visata, o Jonukui kieme augantys pomidorai tapo tarsi simboliu, kad visada yra išeitis, net iš sunkiausios situacijos.
En: Jonas, Elena, and Viktorija stayed in the yard, talking about life and the universe, and the tomatoes growing in the yard became a symbol that there is always a way out, even from the most difficult situations.
