Story Transcript:

Ca: El sol brillava en el cel blau de Barcelona. Martí i Laia estaven en la Plaça de Sant Jaume, el cor vibrant de la ciutat. Martí, amb la seva camisa blanca i faixa vermella, semblava un soldat enmig de la plaça. Al seu costat, Laia, amb una blusa de ratlles i pantalons cenyits, pareixia la comandant perfecta.
En: The sun was shining in the blue sky of Barcelona. Martí and Laia were in Plaça de Sant Jaume, the vibrant heart of the city. Martí, with his white shirt and red sash, looked like a soldier in the middle of the square. By his side, Laia, wearing a striped blouse and tight pants, seemed like the perfect commander.

Ca: Aquell dia hi havia un gran revolució a la plaça. Els turistes es congregaven amb càmeres i mòbils a la mà, atrets pel gran espectacle que estava a punt de començar. Martí i Laia eren castellers, membres d'un equip que construïa castells humans, una tradició catalana centenària. Ara, havien de tenir una tasca diferent; haurien d'explicar les regles d'aquesta tradició als visitants estrangers.
En: That day there was a great commotion in the square. Tourists congregated with cameras and phones in hand, drawn to the grand spectacle that was about to begin. Martí and Laia were castellers, members of a team that built human towers, a centuries-old Catalan tradition. But this time, they had a different task; they were to explain the rules of this tradition to foreign visitors.

Ca: Laia va agafar el megàfon i va començar a parlar. "El nostre castell comença amb la 'pinya'," va dir assenyalant un grup de persones fortament construïdes. "Ells són la nostra base."
En: Laia took the megaphone and began to speak. "Our castle starts with the 'piña'," she said, pointing at a group of strongly built people. "They are our base."

Ca: Els turistes es van apropar, fascinats. Alguns intentaven comprendre, altres feien fotografies i vídeos. Martí continuava explicant, "El següent nivell és la 'folre'. Es tracta de persones més fortes que es mantenen sobre la pinya per donar suport."
En: The tourists approached, fascinated. Some tried to understand, others took photographs and videos. Martí continued to explain, "The next level is the 'folre'. These are stronger people who stand on the base to provide support."

Ca: Laia va agafar el relleu, "Finalment hi ha l' 'enxaneta', l'últim casteller que corona la torre." El públic va romandre bocabadat, mirant embadalits el petit Martí, de tan sols cinc anys, que va desafiar el perill i la gravetat per arribar a la cima del castell.
En: Laia took over, "Finally, there's the 'enxaneta', the last casteller who crowns the tower." The audience remained speechless, gazing in awe at the small Martí, just five years old, who defied danger and gravity to reach the top of the castle.

Ca: Però, de sobte, un turista gran amb càmera es va apropar massa i la base del castell va començar a tremolar. Laia va cridar, "Tots enrere!" però ja era tard.
En: Suddenly, a large tourist with a camera got too close, and the base of the castle started to tremble. Laia shouted, "Everyone step back!" but it was too late.

Ca: Amb un estrèpit, el castell va caure. Per sort, tots els castellers van estar a salvo, però el públic es va quedar silenciós.
En: With a crash, the castle fell. Luckily, all the castellers were safe, but the audience fell silent.

Ca: Després d'aquesta agitació, Martí i Laia van tornar a reunir els seves col·legues i van decidir intentar-ho de nou. Aquella vegada, els turistes van comprendre les regles del joc: van respectar el espai dels castellers i van observar en silenci mentre un nou castell s'alcava, més alt i fort que l'anterior.
En: After the commotion, Martí and Laia regrouped with their colleagues and decided to try again. This time, the tourists understood the rules of the game: they respected the space of the castellers and observed in silence as a new castle rose, taller and stronger than the last.

Ca: Tot seguit, la plaça sencer va prorrompre en aplaudiments. Els castells representen la força, l'equilibri, el valor i la saviesa. I encara millor, aquell dia, els turistes aprengueren no només a observar, sinó també a respectar aquesta bella tradició.
En: Then, the whole square erupted in applause. The castells represent strength, balance, courage, and wisdom. And even better, that day, the tourists learned not only to observe but also to respect this beautiful tradition.

Ca: El que va començar com un dia normal a Barcelona, va acabar sent un dia de triomf per la Laia i el Martí. Havien aconseguit mostrar als visitants d'arreu del món que el que fa especials els castells, més que les torres humanes, és el treball en equip i el respecte per una tradició que és pura passió i valentia.
En: What started as a normal day in Barcelona ended up being a triumph for Laia and Martí. They had shown visitors from around the world what makes castells special, more than just human towers, it is teamwork and respect for a tradition that is pure passion and bravery.
