Trusting Arm of Flesh finds it's way to the day of Judah and of Isaiah in part 71. At hand is a threat to Jerusalem. In this the Jewish leaders from the political to religious avenues of life have their hope set. In this decision it really does mean life or death. An enemy approaches and to the realm of those living in Judah death seems near. However the group finds hope in an arm of the flesh who they hope will deliver them from the enemy which approaches. Of course, the issue now rests what happened to their Theocracy, faith, and obedience to the Lord God of Israel? Why do they not trust in their God as their forefathers did? The people and their leadership do find the answer. But the struggle is real as is the application to todays life we now live.

Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth -Is 21:6

Trusting Arm of Flesh is a common occurrence in societies. It follows that the Lord has given us his mercy and grace. It is in this we walk, live, move, and live our lives. This was one of the links between Judah and our world today. No matter how you believe, the Lord rules over the nations of men. In Judah's world this at time brought reality to the jews at Jerusalem and elsewhere when God sent his prophet in their midst. Today people live with various faiths, beliefs, and ideals. Whether they truly believe in God doesn't change the way it really is. Neither can a society change the mind or will of the Lord in his regard of Sin and rebellion. We convince ourselves through our flesh, trusting in those things we touch, see, feel, sense, and taste; we will be fine. Many times societies believe they do very good on their own without the Lord God. This is the mistake of Judah and modern man.
