According to US astronomer Michael Brown, the photographs will help to discover the giant planet. "We were able to spend seven full observation days. If there is 'planet X' out there, it will in the data collected. It covers 85 percent of the area in space where the planet is supposed to be," the researcher said. This planet is said to be 41 billion kilometers away from the Sun and has a mass about ten times greater than that of the Earth. Scientists estimate that Planet X orbits the Sun within 15000 years Brown and Batygin have not yet achieved any significant success in their search for "Planet X" and have only been able to pinpoint the search area. As Brown claims, however, he is 80 percent sure that the planet can be found soon. Scientists believe these hydroxyl groups exist across the asteroid in water-bearing clay minerals, suggesting that, at some point, Bennu’s rocky surface interacted with water. The orb itself is too small to have hosted liquid water, according to NASA. But fluids were present at some point on Bennu’s parent body—a much larger asteroid. The presence of hydrated minerals across the asteroid confirms that Bennu, a remnant from early in the formation of the Solar System, is an excellent specimen for the OSIRIS-REx mission to study the composition of primitive volatiles and organics,” Amy Simon, OVIRS deputy instrument scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, said in a statement.
