Fernanda Maciel is the type of person to not panic – she knows exactly what to do. As an endurance athlete who specialises in running up and down high mountains, she spends a lot of time with herself. Fernanda has to know how to deal with this, and how to juggle the physical endurance that’s needed from her body to complete even her most daring runs. Meditation not only saved her life while she was stuck inside the crevasse, but is also the outlet through which she controls this mental and physical stress.

Even if you’re not planning on competing in ultra-endurance events anytime soon, meditation should play a fixed role in your daily routine.
