Verizon customers throughout the United States have experienced difficulties accessing the company's wireless network, with numerous individuals reporting on Monday morning that their phone service was non-functional and restricted to SOS mode.

As of 10:11 a.m. ET, DownDetector, a platform that monitors service disruptions for telecommunications companies, websites, and other businesses, had recorded over 100,000 outage reports related to Verizon.

Reports of service interruptions spanned from New York to Los Angeles, primarily concerning the absence of service on mobile devices. Customers began to voice their concerns shortly after 9 a.m. ET, with some resorting to social media to request refunds from Verizon.

It's been over two hours and we don't even know why this is happening. We all pay a pretty penny for our Verizon bill, this time should be compensated until the issue is fully resolved, one customer posted to Verizon's customer support account on X.
