Story Transcript:

Ga: Lá breá grianmhar a bhí ann agus bhí Sean agus Siobhán ag siúl cois farraige ag na hAillte Móire.
En: It was a beautiful sunny day, and Sean and Siobhán were walking by the sea at the Cliffs of Moher.

Ga: Bhí sean ina bhuachaill óg, lúfar, le súile gorma ar leith agus gruaig chomh dubh le héal.
En: Sean was a young, agile lad, with striking blue eyes and hair as black as coal.

Ga: Bhí sé ag imeacht leis an eitilt a sceite, sceit ar a dtugtar "An tÉan Gorm".
En: He was flying his kite, called "The Blue Bird".

Ga: Bhí dathanna geala ar an sceit, dathanna an spéir agus na farraige.
En: The kite had bright colors, the colors of the sky and the sea.

Ga: Agus iad amuigh ar bharr glas na faiche, bhí caora ag ithe an féir go ciúin.
En: As they were out on the green top of the cliff, a sheep was peacefully chewing on the grass.

Ga: Bhí olann tiubh, bán orthu agus iad gan bhogadh le hamharc Sean agus Siobhán a thabhairt orthu.
En: They had thick, white wool and didn't budge as Sean and Siobhán approached them.

Ga: Níor thug siad suntas ar bith don bheirt ógánach.
En: They didn't pay any attention to the two youngsters.

Ga: Ach go tobann, tháinig eitilt an sceite as rialú agus eitil sé i dtreo na gcaorach.
En: But suddenly, the kite took flight and flew towards the sheep.

Ga: Bhí Seán agus Siobhán ar mire.
En: Sean and Siobhán were startled.

Ga: "A Sheáin, déan rud éigin!
En: "Seán, do something!"

Ga: " arsa Siobhán.
En: said Siobhán.

Ga: Chas an t-eitleán beag sa spéir ghorm agus phreab sé ó cheann go ceann ar an gcaora, go dtí go bhfaca siad an earráid mhór - bhí an sceit gafa i olann bog, tiubh ceann de na caora!
En: The little kite turned in the blue sky and swooped over the sheep, until they saw the big mistake - the kite was caught in the soft, thick wool of one of the sheep!

Ga: Chuir an chaora orm an dearcaidh is mó a bhí feicthe ag daoine ar na haillte riamh.
En: The sheep had the most surprised look ever seen on the cliffs.

Ga: Cheap sí go raibh an sceit ina creachadóir agus rith sí timpeall, Sean agus Siobhán á leanúint aici.
En: She thought the kite was a bandit and she ran around, with Sean and Siobhán in pursuit.

Ga: Bhí iall an eitilte fada, agus thosaigh Siobhán ag rith in éineacht leis an chaora, ag iarraidh an sceit a thabhairt ar ais.
En: The chase was long, and Siobhán started running alongside the sheep, trying to retrieve the kite.

Ga: Bhí gáire agus caoineadh measctha ag teacht ón mbeirt acu.
En: Laughter and crying were mixed from both of them.

Ga: Faoi dheireadh, tar éis ruathair fiain, tháinig deireadh leis an ruaig nuair a thit an caora i ngíog, tuirseach agus bréan den drámaíocht.
En: Finally, after a wild chase, the pursuit came to an end when the sheep fell in exhaustion, tired and fed up with the drama.

Ga: Thug Seán cúnamh dá chara Siobhán agus le chéile bhain siad an sceit as olann an chaora go cúramach.
En: Sean helped his friend Siobhán, and together they carefully removed the kite from the sheep's wool.

Ga: "Go raibh maith agat, a Sheáin," arsa Siobhán ag tarraingt a hanála.
En: "Thank you, Seán," said Siobhán, catching her breath.

Ga: "Níor chreid mé go mbeadh lá mar seo againn ag na hAillte Móire.
En: "I didn't believe we'd have a day like this at the Cliffs of Moher."

Ga: "D'ardaigh Seán an sceit ina lámha agus d'amharc sé ar an olann fós greamaithe ann.
En: Sean raised the kite in his hands and looked at the wool still tangled in it.

Ga: "Is mar a deir siad," a d’fhreagair sé le gáire, "Ní heol dom an lá till an eitilt ón olann.
En: "As they say," he replied with a laugh, "I never knew the day the kite would return from the wool."

Ga: "Ghabh an bheirt buíochas leis an chaora, a raibh suaimhneas agus síocháin tagtha uirthi arís, agus d'fhág siad an aill ag suaimhneas le ceacht nua foghlamtha - go bhfuil an saol lán de héachtaí nach féidir a thuar agus go bhfuil chairdeas is comhpháirtíocht tábhachtach chun déileáil leo.
En: The two thanked the sheep, who had found peace and tranquility again, and they left the cliff with a new lesson learned - that life is full of surprises and that friendship and cooperation are important to deal with them.
