Amarah went out to find Roy Carlston CD. She walked into the record bar. She continued to hear Roy’s voice.
Roy: Here I am over here.
Amarah had spiritual gifts.
Roy (singing): Look to your riigghht. I’m on the shelf.
The CD was right in front of Amarah to her right, and she picked it up. While buying the CD, Amarah heard bad guys from another radio station talking about DJ Flip. They wanted his station off the air. They were very competitive. One of them recognized Amarah.
Radio man: Hey, that’s his girl Amarah.
Amarah held tight to her walking cane that she carried as a weapon.
The radio guy walked up to Amarah and said, “Hey, you DJ Flip’s Girlfriend.”
Amarah: What do you want? I’m on the go right now.
Radio man: I’m Terrence Lewis from CUTZ 92.
Amarah: Are you playing my records?
Radio man: Well (clears throat) No.
Amarah: Then we have nothing to talk about. Excuse me. Amarah walked out of the record bar and quickly got into her car and drove off.
She was growing popular thanks to DJ Flip. There were people admiring her and people envying her. Amarah knew she had to be careful. She began to recognize her gift and how she was sometimes attacked by the forces of evil. Amarah was harassed about her goodness.
She listened to the CD that she had bought by Roy Carlston. She realized that his songs were religious messages in the blues. As Amarah listened to Roy’s music with her heart, she could hear Roy’s voice speaking beyond his music. He would always give her a word. A word about meditation and prayer. Then Amarah needed to have a word with DJ Flip.
Coming from the record bar, she paid Flip a visit. When she walked into the station, he looked very tired. Amarah sat down and starred at Flip.
Flip: What’s going on Amarah.
Amarah: Do you know a guy named Terrence Lewis.
Flip: No, I don’t.
Amarah: We’ll, he’s a disc jockey down at the station CUTZ 92. I heard him say something about you & getting you shut down.
Flip: Oh, that guy. He’s been talking for years.
Amarah: Today, you must be really tired man.
Flip: I hardly slept last night.
Amarah: We’ll, I’m not gonna bother you. I just stopped by to tell you to watch your P’s and Q’s. Those two brothers I saw today wanna do you in. I just wanted to have a word with you about that.
DJ Flip and Amarah both rose to get up from sitting, and DJ Flip almost fell feeling dizzy.
Amarah: Flip, are you okay? Let me help you. Sit Down.
Flip: I’ll be alright. Just a little dizzy.
Amarah stayed with Flip a little while longer.
Amarah: Jeffrey, why don’t you call it a day.
Flip: I’ll be alright.
Amarah: It’s just you all the time in this - this radio station.
AMARAH’S eyes fell on DJ Flip’s keys. She wanted to get on his case about the Ghost Boogie key, but she held back. However, she gave him a word about something spiritual.
Amarah: You know you helped a lot of people. You helped me. You’re a special kind of guy, and there’s a calling on your life. There’s things you can see that nobody else can. You have vision.
Flip: How do you know that?
Amarah: Cause we’re the same. Stay away from the dark side. Evil forces won’t to destroy you.
Amarah bought DJ Flip breakfast because she knew he wasn’t eating well. Then Amarah decided she would leave.
Amarah: I’m gonna go now Flip. If you need me, call me.
Later that night, Amarah road around town and she passed by the radio station. She saw the two girls that tried to chase her down going into the radio station. They tried to harass Flip about Amarah and wanted to know where she was. Amarah backed up her car and parked to the radio station and waited for the girls to come out. That was something the girls took too long to do. So Amarah walked in on them with her weapon.
One of the girls said, “Well what do you know. Look who just walked in.”
The girls tried to jump Amarah, but Amarah was quick with her cane.
Amarah struck both girls down and dared the leader to get up.
Amarah: Stay down! Who sent you! What do you want?!
Gangsta girl: Let us go! We don’t want nothing.
Amarah: Bullies! Get out!
And the girls ran off. DJ Flip watched Amarah with admiration. He said, “ I- I got the camera on! How’d you do that?!
Amarah said, “ I told you they’d be enemies, and you gotta watch your back. I gave you word.
