The advance of the German 2nd Motorized Division and the retreat of the Polish forces
World War II began with the Nazi invasion of Poland. Germany signed a non-aggression pact to keep the Soviet Union passive. On the other hand, Britain and France signed an aid agreement with Poland. The Polish campaign began on 1 September 1939. On 3 September the Allies declared war on Germany and World War II began.
On the very first day, the German shock troops tore through Poland. French and British forces did not even get a chance to help. This is known as the Western disloyalty. On September 17, Soviet forces also joined the war as per the secret agreement. Polish officials left the country the next day. Wars fall on 27th September. The last army fought at Kok fort till 6th October.
