‘The Hidden Power,’ Host Dr Susan Koruthu
Yes, it will but only if your life is blind that spoils your kids. Your kids want love, but you should not get blind in your love. When you are blind in your love, you see only the pleasure you and your child get from the loving relationship your both share. It can spoil your child and deviate from attaining the right level of growth and development. You tend to give everything your child wishes to have and struggle to give your kids a hassle-free life. It can make your child a self-centered and selfish person. You may overlook any problem behaviour or ignore the pain their reckless behaviour causes. It can make your kid get away with any misbehavior as you are blind in your love. You will never hear others' feedback or criticism as you go deaf in your blind love towards your child. You take any nonsense from your child as your all senses get jammed with your blind love. Your kid gets away with the mean and harsh behaviour as you become blind to life values and morals.
You tend to make everything comfortable and cozy for your child as you don’t want to see your child suffer disappointments and pain. You allow every pleasure your child indulges in even though you are pretty sure that it can damage your child’s life in the long run. You tend to rationalize all his bad behaviour, nasty attitudes and inappropriate emotional outbreaks because you know that the behaviour is the aftereffect of your blind love. You will forget a parent’s key responsibility as a tough mentor when you are blind in your love.
Love your child abundantly but never be blind in your love. As a parent, you have enormous power; understand the hidden power within you. You are a powerhouse of human energy - Sense it, feel it, and make use of that energy in shaping your child’s future. Trust me; your parental energy has all the potential to transform lives. Make good use of it.
